Guy Maestri
Maestri’s work documents the many journeys he has made across the country and the experience of the Australian landscape.
In 2009 he was the recipient of one of the most prestigious art accolades in Australia, the Archibald Prize. In 2013 he was awarded the NSW Plein Air Painting Prize and he has several times been as a finalist in the Wynne Prize for Landscape Painting at the Art Gallery of NSW and the Dobell Prize for Drawing.
His work is held in national and state collections including the National Portrait Gallery; Federal Parliament House Art Collection; NSW Parliament House and corporate collections including Macquarie Bank, as well as regional galleries across NSW.
